How we verify dentists
A ✔ Verified badge means a real person from our team has checked that the dentist holds a valid registration with the official authority of their country. This is what happens before a profile goes live.
1. The dentist applies
Every dentist chooses their registration authority (for example the dental council or board of their country or state), enters their registration number and uploads their certificate. They must also confirm their email address.
2. Automatic checks
We check that the registration number has the right format for that authority. Where an official registry offers a public look-up, we also look the number up automatically.
3. A person checks the official register
Our team compares the name, number and certificate with the authority's official register. If something is missing or unclear we ask the dentist for more information. Applications we cannot confirm are not approved.
4. The profile goes live
Only after approval does the dentist appear in search and can patients book their open slots. Dentists cannot change their registration details afterwards without being checked again.
5. Re-verification every year
Once a year we ask each dentist to confirm that their registration is still valid. A profile can be hidden at any time if a registration lapses or a problem is reported.
What verification does not mean
Verification confirms a dentist's registration. It is not a recommendation or a guarantee of treatment results, and it is not medical advice. Please read our medical disclaimer.
Report a problem
If you believe a profile is wrong or a registration is not valid, please contact us with the dentist's name and we will look into it.
